This Privacy Policy describes how NetCalc Pro handles data.

Summary

• No account is required
• No analytics tools are used
• No advertising SDKs or third-party SDKs are used
• No user tracking takes place
• All calculations happen on the device; the only connection is iCloud’s, when sync is on
• Projects and preferences stay on the user’s devices and, with sync on, in their private iCloud

Data the app handles

NetCalc Pro only handles the content the user enters:

• the addresses, masks, and other values used in calculations
• projects: name, creation date, notes, and devices, each with hostname, type, and configuration (addressing, interfaces, and generated commands)
• app preferences: Beginner or Expert mode, language, theme, accent color, terminal theme, last calculation, onboarding state

Data collection

The developer does not collect, receive, transmit, sell, or share user data. The app does not communicate with the developer’s servers or with third parties: its only connection is to Apple’s iCloud, when sync is on (see “Data storage”).

Export and sharing

Addressing plans and commands can be exported (text, CSV, or PDF), shared, or copied to the clipboard only when the user asks. Files are saved to the destination the user chooses; anything shared goes only to the app or person the user chooses.

Shortcuts

NetCalc Pro offers actions for the Shortcuts app (for example, calculating a subnet). They run on the device with the values provided by the user or the shortcut, and the result goes back only to the shortcut that ran them.

Device permissions

NetCalc Pro does not request access to location, camera, microphone, Photos library, contacts, calendars, notifications, or biometric authentication.

Data sharing

NetCalc Pro does not share user data with the developer or with third parties, for any purpose: analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking.

Data storage

The app stores on the device, in its own container:

• projects and devices, in a local database (SwiftData)
• preferences

If iCloud sync is on (Settings › Sync), projects, devices and preferences are also copied to the user’s private iCloud database, so they are available on the other devices signed into the same Apple Account. This data stays in the user’s iCloud account, is handled by Apple under its privacy policy, and the developer cannot read it. Sync can be turned off at any time in Settings.

Retention and deletion

• Projects and devices are edited or deleted in the app.
• Uninstalling the app removes projects and preferences from the device, within the limits of operating system behavior. Copies in iCloud are deleted from Settings › [name] › iCloud › Manage Storage on the Apple device.
• Exported files stay where the user saved them until they are deleted.

Because the developer receives and stores no data, they cannot access, correct, or delete user data on the user’s behalf.

Children

NetCalc Pro is not specifically directed at children and does not collect personal data from any user, including children.

Security

The app relies on the security mechanisms of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS for data stored on the device.

No method of on-device storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, especially after the user exports or shares a file outside the app.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated in future versions of the app. The latest version should be made available at the public privacy policy URL used in App Store Connect.
