What is NetCalc Pro?
NetCalc Pro works out a network’s addressing plan, generates the commands to configure routers and switches, and checks that everything adds up before you power on the lab. It’s made for people who study networking and for those who configure networks every day.
Key Features
- IPv4 calculator: four ways to enter an address, with network, broadcast, hosts, and a color-coded binary view that separates network and host bits
- IPv6 calculator: compression, prefixes, subnetting, and EUI-64
- Subnetting and VLSM: equal-size blocks or sized from your host counts, with networks sorted largest first and a map of the used address space
- Ready-made configurations: Cisco IOS-style commands for interfaces, static routes, OSPF, RIPv2, EIGRP, VLANs and 802.1Q trunks, DHCP, standard and extended ACLs, NAT/PAT, and basic hardening, with comments that explain each block
- Import a running-config: paste it and find it in your project, device by device
- Projects: devices and interfaces organized by lab, with search, duplication, and undo
- Lab checker: finds overlapping subnets, duplicate or unusable addresses, unreachable next hops, networks missing from OSPF, and DHCP gateways outside the pool, with an explanation and the fix
- Learn: a 21-chapter networking guide with worked examples, a searchable glossary, Beginner mode with more help, and Expert mode when you want less
- Export and share: plans and projects as PDF, CSV, or text; actions for Shortcuts and Spotlight
- iCloud sync: projects and settings kept up to date across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with a local-only fallback if iCloud isn’t available
- On iPhone, iPad, and Mac: free, with no ads or in-app purchases, with menus and keyboard shortcuts on the Mac; English and Italian, light or dark theme, and an accent color of your choice
- Privacy: no account and no tracking; calculations stay on the device, and projects only go through your private iCloud
