Hi! I'm dimpemekug
Welcome to my digital space. I build apps and websites with attention to detail, privacy, and user experience.
Who I am
I’m dimpemekug, a developer passionate about technology, design, and everything that’s built with code. I like creating simple things that work well and respect the people who use them.
Why I do it
I code mostly for fun. It’s not how I make a living: it’s how I like to spend my free time, between an idea to try out, a problem to solve, and the satisfaction of seeing something work.
Almost all of my apps start from a personal need. I wanted to keep an eye on my home’s utility usage, catalog my watches, keep up with TV shows, resize a folder of photos, trim a video without losing quality, or tidy up the names of hundreds of files, and I couldn’t find anything simple, clean, and respectful of privacy. So I wrote them myself. I’m the first user of every app I make: I use them every day, and if something is off, I notice right away.
Other apps come from friends’ requests: they tell me about a problem and ask whether something can be done. Often it can, and the result ends up being useful to plenty of other people too.
That’s why my apps are, and will stay, always free: no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions. They don’t need to hit numbers or monetize anyone’s attention: they just need to work well. And since there’s no business model to feed, there’s no reason to collect data either: wherever possible, everything stays on your device.
What I do
- Apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android — with SwiftUI, Flutter, and Dart.
- Mac apps — native, working offline and without an account.
- Web development — modern sites and applications with Astro, TypeScript, and the full JavaScript ecosystem.
- WordPress themes — custom editorial solutions, written in plain PHP with no extra frameworks.
- Privacy by design — user data stays where it should: on their devices.
Projects

- DomoMeter — monitors home utility consumption (electricity, gas, water) in a single dashboard, with no account and no server.
- Horologe — a private catalog for watch collectors, with stats, maintenance tracking, and a wear log.
